Laura MacKinnon Laura began dancing at the Canadian School of Dance at 6 years of age. She trained there until graduating high school, achieving her Advanced II RAD as well as dancing on the very successful CSD Competitive Team. Along the way, Laura also attended many summer schools including the National Ballet School of Canada, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, The Ailey School of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre and the Banff Centre for the Arts. Over the years, Laura danced in several productions of the Nutcracker with both Les Grands Ballets Canadiens and Ballet Jorgen. She is now in her fourth year of the dance program at Ryerson University, and after graduation will pursue a career in dance. At Ryerson University, Laura has performed in several shows, working with choreographers Louis Laberge-Coté, Vicki St. Denys and William Yong. She would like to thank the teachers at CSD for all the years of wonderful training and support which helped to mould her into the dancer she is today.

Laura McKenna - Laura is a former student of the Canadian School of Dance (CSD) from 1988 to 2003. She has trained extensively in jazz, tap and ballet; also attending the summer dance program at the Quinte Ballet School. She is a former hip-hop teacher for CSD (2002-2003). During her years at the studio, Laura was a member of the CSD Performing "Ensemble" group and the CSD Competitive Team. She has performed at a variety of showcases including: a BRAVO TV music video, "Home Grown Cafe", and "Cardio Funk". Laura was awarded the CSD Senior Tap Award in 1998 and the CSD Senior Overall Award in 2003. Laura continued her dance training as a member of the Queen's University Competitive Dance Team (2003-2007). She enjoyed dancing at home basketball games, local chariety events and regional university competitions; placing first 2005. The team competed nationally in Daytona Beach, FL; placing top 10. While attending university, Laura taught hip-hop. In 2007, Laura shared her love of dancing in Kathmandu, Nepal. She taught weekly dance lessons to children from a local orphanage while volunteering as a phys.ed. teacher. Laura has enjoyed choreographing a variety of shows including: opening numbers and productions at Muskoka Woods (2004-2008) and "Leader of the Pack" at St. Joseph H.S. (2007-2008). Laura continues her training at local dance studios in Toronto, ON.

Shauna McKenna - ADAPT Advanced Tap, Advanced Jazz; R.A.D. Advanced I Ballet - Shauna has completed all her training at the Canadian School of Dance (CSD) in all the dance disciplines since 1993. She taught Hip Hop classes at this school during her last four years. During her tenure at CSD, Shauna was awarded the overall dance award from the studio for 2000, 2005 and 2008. In 2007, Shauna was given the opportunity to travel to Calgary to be recorded as a demonstrator on the Teaching Reference DVD for the ADAPT Syllabus Intermediate Level. While at CSD, Shauna was also an active member of its Competitive Dance Team. While competing Shauna won many dance titles. Accredited titles include 2004 Footloose Teen Elite Dancer; 2006, 2007 and 2008 American Dance Awards Regional Senior Dancer of the Year; 2004, 2006 and 2008 American Dance Awards Regional Senior Dancer of the Year; 2004, 2006 Miss Teen Candance. In 2007, Shauna had the privilege of winning the overall Candance Senior Solo from competitions across Canada. An integral part of this win was the award winning choreography of her solo "Lost" by Fran Coyle. This win awarded Shauna a full scholarship that gave her the opportunity to accompany other dancers on a Candance performance tour in Italy in August 2008. Shauna has deferred University acceptance for a year to be able to seize the opportunity of performing on a cruise ship. For the next eight months, Shauna is dancing for the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line on a ship called Independence of the Seas.

Katelynne O'Hara - ARAD, ADAPT Advanced Jazz and Advanced Tap - In 1996 a shy little girl was too afraid to get up from the bench and move to the music in her first ballet class. Twelve years later, she is setting sail in the Caribbean to perform for cruise ship guests for six months. Katelynne took Ballet, Jazz and Tap at CSD and became a member of the Competitive Team in 2001. That year she won the Ballet Award followed by the Senior Tap Award in 2004 and the Senior Overall Award in 2007. Katelynne completed her R.A.D. grade exams and majors including Advanced II and her ADAPT Advanced Jazz and Tap. Katelynne was part of many award winning competitive numbers throughout her years at CSD. They were indeed her "Lovely Years". She was accepted into the Fine Arts Dance Program at Ryerson University in Toronto in 2008 but opted for a dance position with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines for her first adventure after graduating from John McCrae Secondary School as an Ontario Scholar. Katelynne has accepted her second Royal Caribbean contract dancing on Enchantment of the Seas in 2009/10.

Shannon Whelan - Shannon grew up dancing at the Canadian School of Dance (CSD) from the age of 6 until she graduated at 17. She completed RAD and ADAPT exams for many years as well as being a member of the Performing Ensemble and Competitive Team at the school. During her summers, she was encouraged to dance and continue her training taking her to the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and to New York City. She also travelled with the CSD Competitive Team to international competitions in Chicago in 2001 and in Las Vegas in 2002 where she was chosen to be the Canadian Dance Team Captain and part of Dan Karaty's Extreme Dance Team. Since leaving CSD, she was worked professionally in the GTA as both an actor and dancer. As a full member of ACTRA, she can be seen in a number of commercials, two independent films and dancing in the 'Welcome to the 60s' number in the 2007 blockbuster "Hairspray". Now residing in Toronto, she is the Associate Director of the Ontario School of Ballet teaching Tap and Lyrical.

Lauren Woods - ARAD ADAPT Advanced Jazz - Lauren began her formal training at the Canadian School of Dance, where she studied ballet, pointe, jazz and tap. She was a full-time student at Canada's National Ballet School in Toronto from 1998 to 1999 and attended summer school at The Royal Winnipeg Ballet School, Quinte Ballet School and The American Academy of Ballet. Lauren has performed the role of Klara in Ballet Jorgen's Nutcracker and was a Matrioska dancer with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens de Montreal. She began her professional career with Disney Cruise Line as a dancer and character performer. Her dance roles include "The Circle of Life" pas de deux in Disney Dreams and "The Lion King" pas de deux in The Golden Mickey's. She also performed as an aerialist in Disney's Spanish Web. Her character roles included Cinderella and Pluto. Lauren was dance captain for the "Magic 20" cast. She was awarded the Disney Award of Excellence in March 2008. She is currently dancing with Royal Caribbean Line on the Grandeur of the Seas. Lauren also models for Six O Activewear and is featured in their Dancewear catalogue from 2006 to 2009.
